Working as a Claims Handler in our Professional Indemnity Claims Team you will support the team in providing an effective and efficient claims service to our customers. Dealing effectively with all claims allocated, ensuring that company policy, procedure and regulatory requirements are adhered to at all times. This is a temporary Mat Leave cover position for 12 months FTC. 

 Objectives and Responsibilities

  • Efficiently handle all claims allocated to the job holder – job holder shall be responsible for a designated caseload handling claims from cradle to grave and liaising extensively with clients. Insurers, claimants, policyholders, brokers and other experts.
  • Dealing with claims made by clients, including Solicitors, Developers, Architects, IFAs, Engineers etc.
  • Refer claims which fall outside of personal authority levels to line manager.
  • Gather and process information, as directed, to support the effective assessment of more complex cases.
  • To conduct the business of the company at all times in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Assisting the Sales team in preparation for policy renewals

  • It would be great if you have experience in handling Professional Indemnity Claims

  • Be able to challenge difficult tasks/situations and have a practical, forward-thinking outlook.
  • Engage active listening skills, be willing to learn and recognise when to ask for support or guidance.
  • Always demonstrate integrity, not only is this essential within a financially regulated organisation, it’s also the right way to be.
